Thumbs up A treatment for RLS that works for me.

I have RLS on one side, so i understand well all that goes with that. Looking at meds, trying diets etc. Nothing worked.
I was reading a message board, I can't recall where, and someone made a suggestion for using weights.
I had some 2 pound ankle weights, thought I'd try and it worked. I was so thrilled.
Then one night it didn't. I had a Planter's Fasciitis boot which would hold the foot in what basically is in a standing position. Since my heel kept wanting to be stretched down during a bout, I thought to use the boot as well. It worked and I don't have to worry anymore. Sometimes I need the boot, sometimes I don't.
But I wanted my fellow sufferers to perhaps give it a try. I can't promise anything but, again, at least I have shared this with you which was all I wanted to do.
    Good luck!

This is not a very conventional way to try and alleviate the discomfort of RLS. But I have found that if I run hot water (as hot as I can stand it) over my feet and lower legs, soon the 'screamin', fidgety, can't keep your feet still urge, diminishes.

That sounds like a healthy way to treat it. I've had good luck with chiropractic treatment. I haven't had RLS in years.
