Rosacea/Accutane

I was recently diagnosed with a mild case of Rosacea on the outside of my nose (nostrils)..after using prescribed Metro gel (slang) and another antibiotic nothing happened. I then was prescribed Accutane. After reading about signing the 'Pledge' and ALL the potential side affects I decided not to use this medicine. Is there another less invasive prescription I can use that people have had success with?:)

My personal opinion is that I agree with you...accutane is not always going to work on Rosacea and it is not prescribed for this problem.

My doctor has me using all sorts of natural products; aloes and essential oils to stop the redness and they seem to be working. Have you spoken to a dermatologist or just a family doc?
