| Jojoba Oil/Rosacea
I have read that alot of you use jojoba oil as a moisturizer which I still can't get ove the concept of putting oil on my face, but I have more rosacea related pimples than acne and I was wondering if anybody here has rosacea and has used jojoba oil.
thanks

Well, I don't have that, but I am severely oily and felt the same way before trying it. While it has increased the oil, the benefits of the more even skin tone are worth it. You probably should give it a try. It's dirt cheap and you can always stop using it if you aren't happy with the results.
Another thing is that I read that most germs can't thrive on skin that is treated with jojoba. I think this must be true, because I am not getting any of my daily breakouts anymore for the first time in my life. It is really, really nice.

I tried it out on my body first.I feel if its its safe enough to use on my neck, shoulders, back and chest it should be safe enough to use on my face.I already have noticed a signifant improvement on my neck and other areas so if everything goes smooth for a month I just might try a few drops on my face now and then.

I also put it on my neck, and it has really helped, even more than on my face.
BTW, my neck was a real blotchy and red from having used BCPs in the past, and the color is really starting to even out. This is why I think you might do well with jojoba oil and your skin condition.

My skin gets irritated and rashy from anything and everything but in the past 2 days that I have used the jojoba oil I haven't got any irritations on my skin. And I usually get one everyday on this one spot on the left side of my neck, and on top of left shoulder and the top middle of back. Its been nice not having those daily irritations there.I'm glad I tried this Jojoba oil as my skin is so very sensitive and it has been very difficult for me to find a product it could handle.

Hi mattleen,
I have rosacea as well and have been usng the jojoba oil for about 2.5 months. It hasn't hurt my acne or rosacea...but it hasn't really helped the flushing symptoms any either. I'm giving it about another month before giving up because my skin does seem to be slowly improving and is alot less oily.
Take care,
