Yes, eat eat eat, but not gigantic proportions! It will make them ill! Nursing homes DO encourage the eat eat eat process, but they do not encourage big meals.

Lots of littler meals is fine ......

People with Alzheimer's disease tend to have low levels of a brain protein called LR11 and about 15% of people with Alzheimer's carry a genetic mutation that reduces this LR11.
