I had PPH surgery in early May, and since then, I've been wondering, how much of your anus is supposed to come out when you defecate? None of it? I can't remember what it was like before hemorrhoids....

Re: Impending PPH Surgery - not fixing the fissures at the same time

Hi. I was just wondering how you're doing post-op? I was told I need PPH but have not scheduled the surgery yet.

Re: Hemorrhoid, Rubber Band Ligation. Have A Few Questions.

I agree!! Please becareful! Vicodin is the reason I got external hemmorhoids in the first place. I was prescribed it after a surgery and I was so constipated that it caused the externals that I have...

Re: Am I too Young?

You aren't alone. I am 22 and have internal and external hemmorhoids. They are getting so painfully itchy and disruptive that I am finally going to see a surgeon about them. I really hope they can...

Re: Hemorrhoid, Rubber Band Ligation. Have A Few Questions.

I am sorry to say I don't have any answers for your questions, but I may be getting this done soon so I have some questions of my own.

Was your hemmorhoid an internal or external one? I am curious...

Re: Rectal Itching

hi! I was curious if you could tell me the proper name for a rectal doctor. I want to go to a specialist instead of a general surgeon for my hemorrhoids but I don't know what their specialty is...

External hemorrhoid treatments besides surgery?

Are there other types of medical treatment for external hemorrhoids other than surgery (or treatment that requires anesthesia/days off from work)? I'm not referring to herbal remedies. I have heard...

Rubber band ligation for internal hemmorhoids

I was wondering if anyone here has had an experience with rubber band ligation for internal hemmorhoids. I had a small internal hemmorhoid as of a year ago due to constipation and know that since...

Re: Atypical ingrown toenail?

You are very informative!

I would just like to say that after looking up pincer nail pictures, I see very severe cases. Mine are not to that extreme, and it appears as though my toenails in...

Atypical ingrown toenail?

I've had typical ingrown toenails where you definitely know there is something wrong because an infection is present. Usually, the nail grows into the side of the skin and it's very obvious. I have...

Re: question about ingrown toenail/possible infection

I am not a doctor by any means, but my doctor once gave me a tip to treat my ingrown toenail infections as soon as I notice signs. Buy peroxide (sometimes $1 for two bottles at the dollar store!) and...

Re: Doctor confusion with phenol?

Okay, I understand now. The first part you described (cutting the ingrown portion of the nail plate), does that procedure have a specific name? Specficially for when the goal is for that part of the...

Doctor confusion with phenol?

I went to my primary care physician today, and he said he can't cut any of my nails right now since I've already cut out my ingrown toenails, but that I should never cut them out myself when they go...

ER for ingrown toenails?

Since I am a college student, I am unable to go home to see my doctor since he is only in the office on Monday-Wednesday. Well, I am not sure what to do about my ingrown toenails. If you go to the...

Re: Nail growing as a raised bump

I won't cut it anymore. I really wish I could see a podiatrist right now, but that isn't feasible. I have had ingrown toenails since I was 9 and I believe trying to fix them myself is how I got the...

Nail growing as a raised bump

After trying to fix many ingrown toenails on my left big toe, the nail has started to grow into a raised bump. I don't think it is a thickened layer of nail; there is actual flesh that is raised up...

Re: Bacterial toenail infection

Thank you for your responses.

Since I posted this, my toe stopped hurting and the redness reduced even more. However, last night I went out dancing and it is red again today and slightly sore when...

Bacterial toenail infection

This all started two weeks ago today. I removed an ingrown toenail on my right toe. The nail was ingrown at the root, so I had to lift it up to trim it. I soaked before I did this and after....
