Actually I do use the Lidoderm patches. They only help a little. Not too much. I think what I might have to do it buy a single bed memory foam topper and put it in a suitcase. What a pain.

I forgot to mention that I had it in my neck 9 months before I ended up with my 2 level fusion. I may end up having it in my neck again at C4-5, since the arthritis is starting to really act up again.

I had my surgery Jan 2007, and my last MRI was about a year ago (after the surgery) when I went to NYC and my neck hurt so much afterwards. I am sure the taxi rides and luggage pulling did not help....

The only thing I was ever told after getting any type of injections was that there was a risk of infection if you went in the water, but it was OK after 48 hrs. I will make sure and ask!
