Failure to... launch (Pun intended, kinda)
I apologize if I'm not in the right thread, I've never had good judgement for these things. Anyway, I've taken a man into my life for whom I care for deeply almost a year ago. A few weeks after dating (This all ties in, I swear) we decided to have sex for the first time. As a virgin, it was the most painful experience in my life. Everyone told me it was just how it goes. I was skeptical, visited my gyno and turns out I have Vulvodynia. A nerve dysfunction with an unknown cause or reason that brings me terrible, terrible pain. I was given Lidocaine 2% and used it whenever I slept with my boyfriend, now I can successfully sleep with him without the use of the numbing agent. However, I wish to move our sex life onward, and I can orgasm just fine on my own via clitoral stimulation (only in this specific place, know... Vulvodynia). However, when it comes to vaginal intercourse, I can get so close to an orgasm it's almost taunting, but instead of that moment of bliss, it immediately fades away and it's just disappointing. Does anyone have any ideas as to why my orgasms just fade away? (Sorry for the long post, I found the backstory relevant.)
