Think my erection/sensitivity problem is permanent?

People,

Im 50+ years old, last year or so noticed when, at niightime "intimate time" with wife, difficult getting erect- and when erection occurs (although no where near as "hard" as a few years ago), it dies down within 3-5 minutes. Sensitivity in penis tip area also greatly diminished . Not fun.

BUT, guess what- during the night, say, around 2AM, stiffen up so dang hard, wife would be so happy, except shes sleeping soundly. Sheesh. Also, penis stays extremely hard for up to 20 minutes!! No eroctic dreams, no apparent reason. One night, got stiff 2-3 times that night, at 2 hour intervals or so. cant touch wife while sleeping.....LOL, so does no good. next night, same problem- soft penis during sex, etc.

If it's blood flow, why dont I have the the blood flow problem at deep night hours?? If its testoserone, should I see my Doc for testosterone supplements (I now testosterone is rresponsible for libido, and NOT blood flow)

Thanks, people!!

Getting older is a pain!!! What you are describing is pretty normal. It never hurts to getting your testosterone checked but since you are getting good night wood, I'm thinking you are OK. I would think that Viagra or Cialis might be the answer. It is true your testosterone goes down as you age but I feel there are many disadvantages in testosterone replacement if not really needed. If your testosterone level is under 300 then maybe with the help of a good endo.

Hi,

Yes, it is normal at your age onwards.
Try "Viagra" (wonder drug) worked almost immediately and sent my husband from a 71yr old back to a 25yr old.
Wish there was one for us females. Good Luck,

Solofelix.
