locker room embarrassment

Im a straight male, but for some reason whenever I get undressed at the gym I instantly gain an erection, even though I really don't want it! Anybody else get this, and any suggestions on how to deal with it?

What are u thinking about when u take your pants of. something concious or subconcious is causing the erection.Either that, or you're an exibitionist and u like to show your hard stick to people. But again why to guys?

I have had this happen before; I don't know why it happened. When you undress try thinking about anything but your penis and other penises around you. This does not mean as the prevous posting indicated that you might be gay. I think many men have had this happen to them. Don't worry about it, and it may not happen as much. When you are young, erections are just spontaneous.

Do complicated math problems in your head -- 564 x 23, that kind of stuff. It will distract you and might help.

12,972? That took me 40 seconds. No sign of an erection.

Back in high school, I used to get erections before we were sent to the showers. I would concentrate on other things and it would go away. When changing or showering, just try to be quick and not give your penis time?

Damn unwanted erections! Hey bud, this happens and there really isn't a whole lot you can do. Sometimes they happen because of nerves or excitement, sometimes out of anticipation of some uncomfortable situation as well. I wonder if because it has happened that you're worried about it happening again and that causes it. However, you are NOT GAY and it has nothing to do with sexual thoughts, simply something we deal with from time to time. I've seen guys in locker rooms struggling to hide theirs too. The suggestion about math may help, think about anything other than what may happen down there! Good luck but please don't let this bother you, part of being a guy.

Think this is a natural thing. Don't do anything about it. Can remember many years ago having the same experience, all the time in YMCA's, football locker rooms, military. Constant erections without call even when dressed. Tried to bend under leg when dressed to avoid embarassment even though I was really just average sized. Today I have Peyronies (from the bend-injury). Believe me you don't want it! What's happening to you happens to many.

Rest for 15 minutes or so before going to the locker room. One possible reason you are getting an erection is because after a work out your blood is flowing through your body at a fast rate. Wait a while for your blood circulation to slow see if that helps.

No you are not gay. Im not. But look, I think its cuz a subconcious part of you likes to see stuff like. I dont know. It happened to me ounce. The one thing i do to get rid of an erection is, I hold my breath until it goes away. It pisses me off that like a hidden part of me is not straight but hey.
