Question Vasectomy Failure?

I have a question on how would you know if you have a failure in your vasectomy? Besides the wife getting pregnant. Is there any signs that would tell you that it has failed. I have taken the post test to check and they tell me it is successful, but the samples that I turned in were not a good orgasm sample, it was more of just a pre-*** sample. A more specific question, if any one would know, is do the testes still swell when excited or unused for a period of time (they are full) then go down after ejaculation? Would that be a sign that the testes are still producing sperm?

Re: Vasectomy Failure?

The only way to know for sure is to submit a semen sample to check for sperm.

Re: Vasectomy Failure?

Correct me if I'm wrong, gentlemen, but I was always under the impression that the testicles will continue to produce sperm after a vasectomy. What changes with a vasectomy is only that the tube that the sperm travels through is no longer connected, so the sperm never makes it to the seminal fluid that's ejaculated, but sperm is still being made.

If you are concerned about your sample, get them a good one, and have them check it. (Just curious, why would you give them a sample of pre-***? They have to test your ejaculate, not pre-ejaculate.)

Re: Vasectomy Failure?

As far as I'm concerned after a vasectomy for several weeks after it you are supposed to use protection as for the sperm remaining after surgery to be entirerly flushed out. Second is you are suppose to have sperm count checks after the surgery and thats what confirms the surgery was succesful, which should be for all cases because they are cutting the tubes. The testicles will still produce sperm and your ejaculation process will be the same as usual just that you will ejaculate clean cream hehe

Are you considering a vasectomy?

Re: Vasectomy Failure?

I had at least 21 ejaculations and 3 sperm checks at the lab before I was declared "safe" "sterile" "shooting blanks".\

My wife was a big help - she cleared those lines by hand at least twice a day after I was well enough to stand the pleasure -

no regrets -

however, I had prostate surgery and now I am really DEAD! Enjoy the vacestomy! it is merely a warm up for what followed for me!
