Not classical, so wondering...

I had sexual contact with a female approximately 19 days ago. I gave her oral sex and we rubbed genitals for about 3-4 minutes without protection. She said she has never had any visible sores, but she has had yeast infections. She does not believe she has anything, but as we all know, STDs are many times asymptomatic.

About 6 days ago might scrotum became slightly red (at least I thought so, could have been that way and never noticed). It became slightly itchy as well. I would scratch it maybe 2-3 times a day (I usually don't need to). I also had (as in its gone now) a bit of an itch between my genitals and the upper inner thigh. I haven't had any painful urination, visible sores or blisters and the redness seemed to be isolated to my scrotum and stayed clear of the shaft of my penis and tip of it has been clear as well.

I've tried applying 1% hydrocortisone once a day for about 3 days and that seemed to make the problem in the upper thigh turn out ok, but my scrotum is still red. I have a slight pain in my rectal area as well. It's isolated to a very small location and I looked for any sort of sore or blister and there's nothing there. I'm trying to do my best to sort out signs that might be associated with a hypochondriac nature, so that rectal pain may be nothing.

I was tested for the works (HIV, HSV-1 and 2, chlamydia, syphilis, gonorrhea) about two years ago, 5 months after my last partner that I had sexual intercourse with and everything returned negative.

I do not have swollen lymph nodes in my neck or groin either. I have been working out in the past 2 1/2 weeks and I wasn't sure if this was HSV-2 (which a hotline STD rep said he thought it was), jock itch or some other fungal infection. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for your input.

Itching and redness without any sores... sounds more like yeast than herpes. If the itching continues, try the cream they sell for women but just spread a layer over the itchy areas a few times each day. If the itching continues, have a doctor check it out.
