unhappy erections

this may sound like a odd problem, and I doubt anyone will understand, but I thought it was worth asking anyway. Somehow,being naked has an arousing effect on me. Even if it's non-sexual, I get aroused. Thus I have to avoid communal changing rooms/showers like the plague! Even when I am alone, just looking at my self naked makes me erect. I don't understand how I didn't develop normally like all other males. They can get naked infront of eachother and stay flaccid. Are there any ways of blocking erections, either mentally (maybe hypnotherapy) or medication?

Sometimes our friend has a mind all of his own. What you're describing is more common than you think and yes, locker rooms are THE worst place to have that happen. Don't be too hard (no pun intended!) on yourself, erections don't always have anything to do with sex or sexual thoughts....just a sign of being a healthy male. And Focus is SO right, age does play a role here. You might try keeping a towel handy, that may help hide things...but you can't avoid this too much. Also, try not to think about it, that may be making things worse. I know this isn't easy and it certainly isn't easy to deal with! Good luck and keep in touch!

Hey man, I used to be the same way when I was younger. I used to always sweat getting wood in the locker room in jr high, and high school. when i went to he doc for a physical, I would always get hard when he checked my equipment. I was actually beginning to wonder if there was something wrong with me.

The worst time for me was once when we had to do square dancing in gym class when I was in jr high, my partner was this really hot cheerleader, and of course I got a huge hardon.

Believe me you can't hide much in a pair of Umbros, so some of my friends sitting up in the bleachers saw it and had a field day with me after class about it.

Fortunately the girl either didn't notice, or liked what she saw, because she went to the prom with me three years later.

Anyway it is probabably just raging hormones causing it. Don't worry too much it will go away once you are a little older.

I have been a naturist (nudist) for a while. So I wouldn't get erections all the time, I learned to go naked around the house. Therefore, I learned what it felt like. By being nude as much as possible, i didn't get erections at nude events.
Practice safe sex.

hey - you are a guy - it happens - you would need to be worried if IT did not happen -

ps: i also have this problem.when i watch porns

and i also get erections when i go to a doc.
once i went to an urologist and he squeezed my balls
when i suddenly felt my friend getting stiff.

Hey Joe,
thanks for sharing, you sound so similar to me it's uncanny.
Anyway, I have found that with age , they seem to get less frequent, or less important even. Like when I was 15 I would take a bath and be hard until I got dressed again. But now, I can take a bath and not even get a semi. I have to be in the right frame of mind to be able to do this though, and it's not easy. To do this it's like trying to concentrate on something so much, everything else around me disappears. Getting into that frame of mine takes a lot of effort. After weeks of training,I went to the pool last week to try it out, but failed. 30 seconds after taking my speedos off in the showers, Pop! instant boner! Practice makes perfect eh.
I too have to see a Urologist soon, how do they react if you get hard infront of them? I guess they see it all the time, but it doesn't make it any less embarrassing for the guy getting examined
