In-grown=not fun

This is my first post here, but i've been coming here often. Now I have an official question.

I have an in-grown hair, close to the bottom of my penis on the shaft, and it is freaking me out. It's not that it hurts(much), but it just looks weird and is strange. I've tried to remove it, but i'm afraid I might hurt myself. Should I go to a doctor, or will it work its way out on its own? Could it cause an infection or hurt me in any way?
Thank for all the help.

Re: In-grown=not fun

I've gotten ingrown hairs from shaving my bikini line before....I just take tweezers and yank the little sucker out! (never had one on my penis 'cause I don't have a penis, but I don't see any reason that would make a difference)
Ingrown hairs can get infected, and then they REALLY hurt; I'd get it out of there and be done with it!

I've tried the tweaser thing, but the hair is actually under the skin. It's the biggest pain in the butt, and I just want to get rid of it. Any other help would be great. thanks.

It's normal to have some in-grown hairs from time to time. However I suggest you that you consult your doctor to find out if everything is ok.
There is a genetically anomaly called hypertrichosis where the person has excessive body hair and some problems can arise as a consequence.

In grown hairs are normal but can become infected and hurt like heck. I'd try removing it with tweezers but make sure you don't break it when trying to remove it. If you notice any change in the site (redness, swelling etc) see a don't want an infection there! Be sure to use clean tweezers and clean the area with peroxide or alcohol first so you can prevent potential infection by and existing bacteria in the area. Hope all goes well!

I hate when that happens.

It will eventually work it's way out. It can take forever tho.

Been there and done that too!
I have had a few of them in my younger days, to about the age of 30. I used to just pop them like the pimple they are.
It hurts like .... at first and the next day it's pretty well cleared up!
