Post Alternatives to KY Jelly

Does anyone have any suggested alternatives to KY Jelly. I have tried several genric brands along with the liquid and all leave a burning sensation. Unfortunately, I am not too sure what ingriedent causes this burning sensation. Perhaps I have developed an allergy to the product.

Any suggestions?

Astroglide maybe. Have you tried that? My mom uses it & she has eczema.

(BTW, you should have seen my little sister find it--THAT was a Kodak moment!! She's almost 21. I've never heard someone scream so loud or run so fast. You'd think the tube bit her.)

Or perhaps you could call your family Dr. & ask if there's anything else he/she could suggest for very sensitive skin.

All water based lubes are very similar. My wife doesn't like any of them because of the burning sensation she frequently gets. It's not an allergy, since it's immediate, and there's no "reaction" afterwards. I suspect that not having enough of your own lube can be a factor in this.

What you should look into is silicone based lubes such as Wet Platinum or ID Millenium. They are hard to find in stores, but can be found online easily. They are a little more expensive, but you don't need very much and they last much longer. Despite the mantra "only use water based lubes," these are perfectly safe for use with condoms. The only thing you shouldn't use them with is Silicone toys.

My fiance and I have tried different lubes, and I have to say that Astroglide is the best. I tried the ky liquid... it's okay... the ky silke caused a horrible allergic reaction... so I definitely can relate. Nonetheless, if Astroglide doesn't work for you, you might try going to a tasteful adult store. It can be embarrassing, but they can be really helpful sometimes.

I love muco -- but it can be pretty daunting to find in a drugstore, since it's most often used in a hospital environment.

Our experience with aloe has been very rewarding.

Try something silicone-based and see what happens.

They are a bit spency, so see if you can get a sample size first, since if it causes you problems it's probably just gonna get hucked anyway.

I really like Vagi-Gard. It makes things much more lubricated for me, and has never irritated me. I found it at Walgreen's
