Re: No baby

Hey There!!!

I am so sorry to hear this. My husband just had his SA done and we are currently waiting til Wednesday to find out whether or not we are in the clear. I am so nervous but I wont let on and I know he is nervous... which is why I am hiding my fears. I dont want to make him feel more scared or nervous about the results. I know there is an issue with me so the likelihood of both of us having issues is slim, but still I worry.

Has the Dr said anything about putting your husband on fertility drugs? Has he been diagnosed with anything? Like do you have a cause for his low sperm count? (What I mean is like me, I was not having periods or ovulating but didnt have an answer as to why until June 13th) You may know his sperm count is low or non existent, but whats the reason for it? Or is it just unexplained? There are things like IUI or ICSI that can be done to help you conceive. Often times a well timed IUI procedure works wonderfully. I know IVF and ICSI can be expensive, but IUI, (especially in Canada) is really cheap in comparison. I would pay around 400 dollars for an IUI and that is all in... drugs, IUI and sperm washing.

What they do for IUI is collect a sperm sample from your husband, and wash his sperm. They they take the good sperm and insert it into your through a catheter and place the sperm as close to your fallopian tubes as possible. ICSI is a little more invasive and expensive but more affective. They take only the good sperm and inject them into the ovum.

Look into cutting any and all caffeine from his diet. Also try looking into some natural things like Maca Root Powder, Zinc, Vitamins C and E, fish oil, L cartinine...

Foods you can introduce are things rich in zinc... sprouts are apparently really good too. Also looking into ayurvedic medicine would be a good start too. Good luck. Babies are definitely possible, Love. xoxoxoxoxo
