    Alrighty then...
It all started when I was probably 12 or 13 in middle school(6th grade approx.)They were screening for scoliosis and of course I was the only kid with a curved spine, lol. Anyways, they said it wasnt anything major and all I needed to do was contact my pediatrician or general prac.
So me and my mom went to see the doc a couple of months later and he said that he didnt think I had anything to worry about and I would grow out of it.
So as time progressed my back got worse and curved more so I was approximetly 17 and went to see a specialist and he said I could have surgery but that it would be stictly cosmetic,B.S.!!!!!He said the xrays he ordered revealed I did in fact have scoliosis and kyphosis and a 70 degree curvature. We asked about a brace and he said that my back was already done growing and a brace wouldnt straighten my spine it would just help my posture...So time goes on for about another year and I start feeling some pain, well you know how it is at first you dont think anything about it and go on with your personal life.Well a little time had passed and I contaced the pediatrician that refferred me to the specialist and told him about my pain again and they started to prescribe me tramadol and i loved it,it killed the pain!

Well I got older and didnt wanna keep going to the "kid doctor" so I started going to my gp and he prescribed lortab with the tramadol, well that was great because if the tramadol didnt work everytime I could always use a little hydrocodone to help with the pain.So I kept seeing him for a while and he swithced to "sport medicine?" and they referred me to a pm clinic and they kept me on the lortab minus the tramadol.

So years pass on and I maintain on the lortab and now my pain has definitly doubled and I get an mri done and more x rays and they reveal that I have a herniated disc, wedged disc and a mild bulge on a disc also with the scoliosis and mild to severe kyphosis. The specialist I seen said that my back would worsen a degree every year if I didnt have surgery and that it was already at 70 degrees so I assume by the time im 30 ill be doubled over and look like im 86 from the back, lol. So anyways fast foward a little and my pm doc never would up my dose so I said screw it and got refferred to another pm doc and she knew about the lortab addiction I had so she started me off on suboxone to get rid of all hydrocodone and benzo's in my body and then started me on the good ole' methadone a couple of months later. She started me on 2 5mg tablets a day for 5 days then 3 5mg tabs for 5 days then 4 5mg tabs for 20 days then I went back for a follow up and complained that my back was still killing me so she upped the done to 5 5mg tabs a month then same complaint, back was still bothering me ALL day so we just switched to the 10mg tabs and stared on 3 a day q8hrs and a couple of months went by and I was still only at about 45% pain releif so we changed to 40mg a day(1tabq6hr) also she gave me some trigger point injections and they helped some but boy let me tell you when they wear off your back starts killing you and I mean killing you.So fast foward about 6 months to today and I go for injections tomorrow and I have got to tell her about this flare up pain I have been having, its killing me at work, cant get anything done at all!and I mean at all!!!

Anyways I love my new pm doctor and look foward to being her patient untill she retires and dont know what I will do after that.
But thats my story and Im stickin with it!
