    Should I pop the blisters

    Hello
I was diagnosed with shingles 5 days ago (11/17/17). Painful but not debilitating. They are on the right side of my neck, inside right ear, and head. There are several blisters on my head that have not popped. I have read that part of the healing process starts when the blisters scab over and dry out. My question is should I pop the blisters so that they will dry out?
    Thank for any help.

    Welcome to the boards.

Absolutely not. You could wind up with scarring or an infection. You need to let them heal at their own pace.

If they accidentally pop, consider keeping it clean or perhaps putting neosparin on it to prevent infection.
