Question Shoulder MRI Help reading report please!

    Hello,
I've had shoulder pain for over a year now and just got my report from the hospital, don't have a follow-up appointment until next week so I thought I'd come here to see if anyone can help me!
    This is what it says,
Findings: There are hypertrophic degenerative changes in the acromioclavicular joint. There is fluid in the subacromial and subdeltoid bursa. There is significant degeneration and thinning of the distal supraspinatus tendon. No definite full-thickness rotator cuff tear is demonstrated. Then it describes a few normal things, didn't think I needed to include them here.

    Impression:
1 There is a fairly marked degeneration of the distal supraspinatus tendon with thinning and fibrillation. No full-thickness tear is demonstrated.
    2. Fluid within the subacromial and subdeltoid bursae
3 Mild hypertrophic degenerative changes of the acromioclavicular joint not causing any significant narrowing of the coracoacromial arch.

    I thank you in advance

You only have a week to wait which is good. I can't help you understand it all, but if you are up to it, highlight the phrases and do a google search to try and get an understanding of what it means. I did a little and from what I quickly got was you have arthritis in the shoulder which has cause degeneration of the joint - but I could be totally wrong. So either wait or while waiting google each finding to try and understand it.
