Physical therapy exercises for shoulder pain

    Hi everyone, just joined up.

Several years ago, I was diagnosed with repetitive stress injury from spending all my time on the computer. Since then, I've been through physical therapy twice, and the exercises really helped a lot.

Here's the part where I'm an idiot -- after my symptoms went away for a while, I stopped doing the exercises. I think that's why the pain in my right shoulder has started to flare up again over the past year (that, and the fact that I've had to work from home because of the lockdown, where my setup isn't as ergonomic).

So the reason I'm posting here is because I've forgotten most of the exercises they told me to do. The only one I remember is one where I stand in a doorway with my arm bent at the elbow and I'm pushing forward on the doorway. I'm hoping that maybe someone with similar issues could suggest some other exercises. I'm sure I'd remember which ones I'm supposed to do if someone jogged my memory. I do remember that most of them involved pulling on a long stretchy rubber cord thing.

If it helps, my shoulder pain is the worst as I start to raise my arm up in front of me, with my elbow straight. After I get past the halfway point, the pain goes away, and when my arm is fully raised (like I'm asking a question in class) the pain is gone. It's just roughly that first third of the way the really smarts!

I know that ideally I should go back and see a doctor, but the last time I went to PT, they told me that I had used up all my PT, and if I wanted to do any more, I'd have to pay out of pocket, and I really can't afford that.
