How long does the healing process take after arthro decompression shoulder surgery?

I had arthoscopic decompression shoulder surgery where they shaved the bone and cleared out all of the inflamed and damaged tissues in July of this year. As I have recovered a great deal, I am still experiencing pain to some extent daily and more severe pain 1-2 x per week. I have been practicing ROM exercizes as well as stretches and strength training 4-5 x per week at home.

Does anyone know approximately how long the full healing process is for artho decompression shoulder surgery? I was told 4-6 weeks for the initial healing and I have read online that it can take anywhere from 3-6 months and even up to a year for full recovery; is this true? And is there anything that I can or should be doing to help ensure I heal properly?

what damage did you have? There asre so many variables that it would be best to ask these questions of your therapist and surgeon. That said, yes it can take a very long time. there could also be an issue with scar tissue.
