neck and back pulling against each other

For the past 18 months i have had shoulder problem and this has lead to my back constantly pulling out. I have tried many things including phsio, consultants and chiropractor. The sports massages on my shoulder worked best at stopping the spasms in my legs! The chiro practor has released my back but the T3 joint keeps getting stuck and my trapezius keeps getting knots, dispite weekly sports massages and/or chiropractic treatment. Also the platysma on my left side (same as shoulder injury) does not seem to work properly as when i move my mouth i use different muscles and if i try flex the platysma then i can not get the tight line from neck to shoulder that i have on the other side. I also get a lump in my throat but it is very slight. Not sure if this is of any help. My question is how and what muscles in my neck would cause such problems further down my shoulder and back? Oh and i also have a soft bulge on the left side of my neck kind of where the shoulder meets the neck.
