Question about injectables with IUI

Hi, I am new to all of this board stuff. I am almost 41 and am on my 3rd day of FSH injections. My dr. wanted me to do TI with my injections, but my husband and I decided because of costs to do IUI. We tried clomid a few years ago, only to miscarry on my last cycle of it. My first dr. told me I had PCOS and wanted to do a wedge resection. I am with a fertility specialist now. I am gathering from the few entries I have read that there is not much of a success rate on the first try. This new dr. says that this will be my only chance at pregnancy. My ultrasound showed 7 follicles on one side and 2 on the other-my husband checked out find. Any words of wisdom... Are any of you around my age?
