    back pain

I worked out last wednesday. But my back has been killing since then. I don't know if I did something wrong working out or what. Do any of you have back pain?

    Re: back pain

Sometimes my back kind of hurts, but I also work with kids and do a lot of lifting. Its so hard to determine what is a side effect of the disease and what is "normal" you know. I am sure I annoy my dr. but I tell him everything because you never know what could be important for him to know.

I was diagnosed in 1998 so I have been on cortisone for 9 years now and it is really hard on the bones, including the spine. For you to have back pain is probably quite normal due to the cortisone and how it reacts to the bones. I would ask my doctor and see if they can maybe run a test to see if you are developing osteoporosis. I now have it and I am 49 years old. My lower back really hurts during cold weather or if I even sit down or sleep too long. Good luck.

    Re: back pain

Lower back pain around the kidneys is a common symptom of low cortisol. Usually morning back pain that slowly goes away during the day. I used to sleep in, but since my adrenal problems if I don't take my morning dose on time I will have back pain as the morning progresses.

Of course anyone can get back pain from exercise or strain so as usual its hard to separate the two effects.

    Re: back pain

Good advise, I will have to see if my back pain has something do with my coritsol. Some people on here have commented, saying that i take low dose of Cortisol(15 mg a day). My endo will get an hear full Monday. So I will be asking for a bone test and see if my back has to do with low cortisol. Thanks
