    itchy skin and boils

    iv been taking iron tabs for a year for low ferritn,doc dropped the dose from 400mg to 200mg,a few months ago saying that my ferritin level was at 32,the last couple of weeks i have very itchy skin and a few skin boils that needed antibiotics,dose this mean i have to much iron or has my ferritin gone down again what do you think shirley

    I don't think this is related to your iron.

    Boils on the skin that require antibiotics is indicative of a skin-level staph infection. I supposed if you were really, really anemic, your immune system could be down which would make you prone to this, but that doesn't sound like the issue.
