    Getting pregnant after late miscarriage

Hi, am desperate to get preg asap. Waters broke at 20.5 weeks. Still had fluid and baby was fine so they told us to wait but said it was rare that it wld fix itself. At 21.3 w lost rest of amniotic fluid but baby was still fine and moving. They said there was no point in waiting and started the "evacuation" whiwh lasted 2 days. All this time i cld feel her moving. Now i'm killed with guilt that we should have waited, maybe she'd have surrvived? Am living in v small town. Gave birth to her on 27th april and am bleeding since but it's now creamy colour. PLEASE cand amyone tell me when i'm likely to ovulate? am so desperate. This is my fourth mc though the others were early and had d/c. Had 2 sucessful pregnancies in between. I know some say wait but i can listen to that as the only thing thats keeping me going is counting the days to trying again.
Am living long way from home with no family or close friends so am really feeling lost and alone. Say my gyn last week told me to come back in aug/sept but if got preg b4 that would be great. Tool clomid to get pregant as have probs ovulating.
    Any communications are welcome.

I recently had a miscarriage and first off, I'm sorry for your loss. I too am anxiously trying to get pregnant, but at the same time an trying to keep my anxiety at a minimal to keep the chemicals in my body normal. I was told to wait 4 to 6 weeks until I try again to allow my hormones to get back into a normal cycle. Have you done blood work? Usually after 2 consecutive miscarriages the ob will do blood work to see if there is another underlying cause. Hope this helps and good luck to the both of us!

    Hi Marcey,
First of all I really feel for you.. My circumstances are slightly different, but a loss of life is involved..
last week I went for my 20 week scan and they told me that there was no heartbeat... I then had to go into hospital to deliver my baby girl, which was the hardest thing I ever had to do... I then had to make the decision of whether to have tests done on the baby etc.. It was all too much...
I have decided for the tests but will take 4-6weeks for the results to come back which is painfully too long.... Like you, I am desperate to try again as soon as possible as that is what keeps me going to....its only been 2 weeks since it happened... I moved out to Australia 7 months ago.. and have no family and few friends either here... so I know what you are going through...
I collected my daughters ashes 4 days ago, along with some photos, hand and footprints... which have been a help in starting to come to terms with it all.....
I dont have any answers for you hunni... but just to know that you are not alone can help.... Im still not sure how I am meant to cope or what is expected from me but I do know that things happen for a reason,,,, Im still not sure what my reason is yet but know this to be a true saying....
Stay strong.... and positive.... It will work out in the end for us all.........
Take care of yourself hunni.. and let me know how things go
    Dawn xxxxxxxxx

Re: Getting pregnant after late miscarriage

Hi. I too lost my baby at 20.5 weeks on April 29th. I am actually on my second period since losing him. Not sure why it's taking so long for you to get yours. Have you tried the Ovulation kits you can buy at any drugstore? They will tell you when you are ovulating and are easy to use. I understand your desire to get pregnant immediately, but hon, you have to let your body heal. Give it some time to get back to normal. I had a miscarriage also in 2004 at 11 weeks. I became pregnant again just 3 weeks later and miscarried that one as well. The doctor said I had not waited long enough in between pregnancies. I understand the pain you are feeling. I also live 2500 miles from any family I have. It hurts. I pray we are both pregnant again soon. Take care.
