Re: Chiari Can Definately Keep Us Down

    Hi Cindy

Thank you for all your very excellent advice...I tryed washing my hands like you said and it works! Why didn't I think of that?Silly me!

We have Copper & Brooklyn here for a few days. They really are good little mutts, but I tend to spoil them. They will probably gain 5 pounds the way I feed them. They are good to have around..you know pets are so lovable and it makes me feel so happy to take care of them.Sometimes they can be a pain...actually they got into the garbage can while I was taking a much needed nap today.....I didn't yell at them though...they're just too cute to scold...hahaha!

Oh my goodness...I did find those pumice items...you are so clever. It wasn't easy, but I found it.Wow what nice items in the store...I can't wait to start holiday shopping...I must do a lot of holiday shopping to help my good friend out...so she can get to new york!!!!

Thank you Cindy....I will help in any way I can...and it will be fun too!So glad we got to be virtual friends......that is so special!

    Have a good week...and rest!

    Scout~

Re: Chiari Can Definately Keep Us Down

    Hi Scout~

It really does help to keep your head straight and use really good posture. I noticed with myself, after giving you that advice, that I keep my head this way all the time. I don't bend my neck at all. Even as I'm typing, my neck is very straight but my eyes shift down at the keyboard. I wasn't even aware I did this. But i noticed today when I drove Rheachel to school that I keep my neck very straight. Then when I was aware of what I was doing, I tried moving my head like in a nod and it caused pain. So subcontiously, I must have adapted this posture. Very weird. But as you go, you'll find things that are helpful. I'm glad you can now wash your hands without getting dizzy

You babysit the babies and the dogs, huh? Pets are nice to have around but are alot of work too. We have too many in our house. a lizard, 3 birds and 2 cats. My one cat is like a 2 year old and is into everything. He goes through cabinets and everything. He reaches into my hutch, grabs himself a lollipop and off he goes. I have to take things away from him all the time. Pain in the but!! So I can understand the frustration when they got at the garbage

Those foolish pumice stones are very popular, believe it or not. One of the top sellers. I do have alot of stuff so I'm hoping with christmas coming up, things will pick up and i can set up my appointment to New York. It would be ideal if I could scedule my next surgery on a school vacation time. I bring Rheachel to and from school and don't really have anyone to help with that unless I'm putting others out of their way.

it is really nice to have you too, as my virtual friend Scout.

Rain is here today. Hopefully it passes soon. Its so dark and gloomy. Lets hope for some bright sunshine

    Take care

    Cindy

Re: Chiari Can Definately Keep Us Down

    Good afternoon Cindy!

Well it is Very Cold here today....I had to turn the heat on(I hate doing that, but I hate to be cold!).The doggies are being good.....it's nice to have their company

You are like me..I don't like to impose on anyone.....it's hard for me to ask others for anything..that sounds like a good idea to schedule TCI when the kids are on vacation.Oh I hope your next surgerywill make a positive difference in your health. Will they do the fusion first or the decompression?

Mostly I just have "weird" symptoms Cindy.I don't have constant pain though. My headaches seem to be related to my hormones...I have suffered with headaches ever since my very first period. So I guess that's why my change of life is so hard on me.

Maybe we can share some info on this.Okay the symptom that is hardest for me to deal with is the one where my feet feel like they're closing up so to speak and it happens when I get a hot flash and my hands will get extremely weal at this time also.I was thinking that my neuro ordered me the EEG for this reason. When I'm having days or weeks without hot flashes I feel 75% like my "old self" then when I'm in hot flash mode I just crumble. So I'm not sure it has to do with the chiari, you know?I need to find a new gyno, but not feeling like dealing with hat right now....UGH!

Cindy I'm so hoping my dr. will be open minded tomorrow when I see him. He's been very nice to me,but I want some more detailed blood labs done.I really don't want to lie to him,but I might have to say my neuro suggested tests...actually my neuro said he wants my dr. to fax my recent bloodwork to him..and it's just my B12 level and basic white, red cell counts....I have no idea what my ferritin is or magnesium,protein,etc...and I know my neuro asked me about tjose..so I think my dr. needs to do a thurough blood workup then,do you agree?I value your opinion Cindy...you know that!

I like all the cute things in that store.....Jillian is into hanna montana,Benny likes spongebob,Isabella's mom likes strawberry shortcake(in fact I bought Isabella the berry sweet strawberry shortcake doll last year and it's her very favorite dolly...it blows strawberry kisses...so cute!).I'm going to do a lot of shopping at that store for christmas gifts......

Just so you know I have a birth name, but I've always been scout to my family so please call me scout....did you ever see "tokill a mockingbird"that little girl named scout looks just like me when I was little...I used to be a tree climber too...so funny, but back thenmy best friend was a boy....later I gave up on that and turned into a barbie doll fan...doll,dolls,dolls...I just love dolls...too funny!

My grandparents names are Frankie and Mae....just thought I'd tell you...you'll see later......

    Have a sweet day Cindy

Hi Cindy...I am concerned about chell1999...I know you can probably give her some very much needed advice and your opinions pertaining to her symptoms.

Thanks so much my friend...I hope your day was pleasant(I had another headache, but seems to have lifted again....so happy about that!).

    Have a good night.

Smile Re: Chiari Can Definitely Keep Us Down

    Hi Scout~

It certainly is feeling fallish. Turning on that heat is scary these days, knowing the cost of fuel. $$$ signs light up when you do it

I do think I am going to have to plan the next surgery stretegically for the next surgery. I have a neighbor who offered to bring Rheachel to school my last surgery. But she's my baby and I'm very over protective so what if she forgets her? I was lucky the last time that she only had 4 days of school before summer vacation. The other concern is following surgery, I cant drive and transport. Last time it was 4-6 weeks. So I may have to hold things off until the summer. I think the fusion is next which will greatly affect my driving anyway. I wont be able to turn my head at all. So I guess it will have to be put off a bit.

Those symptoms with your hotflash are strange. I know for me, if I get nervous or I'm in an intense situation, my symptoms are really bad. With chiari, our nerves are all off wack so anything is possible. Have you had any nerve testing done? Like an EMG? Where your feet are involved, that may not be a bad idea.

Gyno's... YUCK I hate going and havent in a few years. That was always my dreaded yearly visit but I went faithfully because after I had Justin, I had a bad pap and a big scare. Dr told me I had precancer and he really believed it had progressed so much that I would have to have a hystorectomy. He told me if I wanted more children, I better do it now. I was very fortunate that they were able to freeze my cervix and all has been well since. But it did made me see how important yearly exams are. Now, with everything else, just one more Dr visit is more than I can handle.

Those character items are very popular. Especially to international people. They can't get that stuff over there so I do alot with them. That Strawberry Shortcake doll sounds absolutely adorable!!

When you go to the Dr, remember that he works for you. And if a little white lie is how you get the test done that you need, Go for it!! I can see why he'd deny blood work. Do you keep copies of all that for your own records? Its good to have if you need to look back on. I hope your visit goes well. Let me know how you make out.

By the way, I played hooky from the boards yesterday but for a good reason. My friend, we met when we were 7, has been out of my life for 7 years. I had lost her and spent alot of energy but finally found her and yesterday we talked on the phone for 4 hours. So much to reminisce about. So I have catch up to do here. I'll go to Chells post soon.

    Have a great day

    Cindy

Re: Chiari Can Definitely Keep Us Down

Hey Cindy.....so funny we are...aren't we?

Went to my dr. appointment..somehow they accidentally cancelled my appointment, but said they could still fit me in...I had to wait 50 minutes!!!!

He was Great today! He ordered me a urinalysis(because I told him the home test showed I was + for nitrates). Then he said okay to get the ferritin checked and also magnesium, phosphorus(my neuro said that low phosphorus has something to do with seizures...I found some old blood labs when I was seizing quite a lot and my phosphorus level was low!!!!So I guess he's right!).Also he ordered acomplete metabolic panel.....so I got what I wanted today!

He actually spent 40 minutes with me.....the office was very busy, but I think he is starting to like having me for a patient, because he said he wasn't in a hurry today....so funny...hahaha!

Well I'm getting my B12 shot on the 30th.....so I'll go get the bloods done right before that.....I know it's usually one tube for each test..sooooo that means they'll take 4 tubes...yuck-o!I'll be tired after that......once when they took 6 tubes I was so exhausted that I couldn't function for days....so I hope 4 won't be too bad...haha!

I still need to have my EEG and brain MRI....just haven't felt like calling to schedule them......I'm supposed to see my neuro on the 29th for the EMG test in his office,so I'll do that first and tell him I have to still have the other tests.....my hubs hasn't felt like taking me...so maybe he'll feel better about taking me when he knows the dr. is getting aggravated that I didn't get them done yet...hahaha.I really wanted a full spine MRI,but the neuro said we'll do that later.....grrrr!I think I'm just afraid that the herniation will be bigger now,but who knows...maybe it will be gone!(wishful thinkin'!).

I just put the doggies outside...they are such babies..they have to be right by me all day and all night...I really love the little guys, but they are so needy...haha!

I can't believe Keith has Chiari.....you were right! He seems so positive abiout it(probably relieved!)...and I hope everything goes well for him.I gues he got one of those ignorant neuro too before...so not right. You know all they have to say is"I don't know much about this,so you need to see a Chiari specialist".but noooooooo they look at us like "how'd you even have the nerve to ask me about Chiari".......makes me so furious

Well I even vacuumed today....so that's it for me.....no cookin' ...I'm drained already.Have to go to the bank and grocery store tomorrow(as usual),so I'll rest up for it now...I hate this...I need energy!

Oh I'm going to do some holiday shopping online tomorrow or on the weekend......hahaha...I do so like to sit at home and shop! You meet so many nice people too!

I hope your day has been a better day for you my dear friend.I read your post and felt so bad about the "sticky throat"(that's what I call it) occurence you had.I have had a few of those....scary,but I just stay calm and sip water or soda whatever is handy and near to reach for and it resolves in a little while. My dr. says it from low B12,but my level is better now...he said even though it's better it's not that good.I was thinking maybe you might benefit from B12 shots, because they even give them to MS patients...it helps with the nerve pain too...your B12 level isn't high either.....I bet it would help you...my spine used to hurt so much...doesn't now...just a thought.

    have lovely evening Cindy Scout~

Re: Chiari Can Definitely Keep Us Down

    Hi Scout~

You had a great appointment. I'm so glad I bet you didn't expect that. But at least you got what you went for, even though you had to wait so long. And he was so thorough with you and gave you so much of his time. I'm impressed. How can he not like you, Scout. Your just so sweet. Put the charm on all your Dr's and maybe you'll get better results and more attention

Getting all those tests, running around to Dr's are really exhausting. My heart goes out to you. And were not tired enough? Don't worry the chiari will be bigger. Generally its just the fact that symptoms have increased that are a concern. The size, really is not that importand. Having it disapear would be great

How long are you doggy sitting? Thats a big responsibility. They definately need a lot of care. Who gets to bring them out to do their duties?

You know, when I read Keiths post, I was so mad too. There are the words on the report and they hand him an antidepressant and call it anxiety.
This is horrible. Your right. Saying that they don't know much about and and recommending a specialist would be the right thing to do. But I don't forsee this in our time. Maybe one day things will improve. But Keiths attitude was great and he handled it very well, took charge and moved on.

Its so frustrating just to do a few things and wipe out. So, we do the important things 1st. I end up not having energy to cook alot. On those days, take out it is Try to rest up the day following a buisy day. If you keep up a busy pace, it'll get the best of you.

You've had that throat thing happen? That was scary!! It was weird that the water helped. You'd think drinking would have made it worse. This was the one symptom I was hoping I'd never get. And I've been so lucky with all the other stuff going on. Guess my luck ran out

I used to take high potency B vitamins years ago. I think I will invest again. It can't hurt, right?

I'm gonna go post to Jellebeans. She was having a bad morning. I tried to send a post but half way through, I had to pick up Rheachel. So I'm gonna show some support. Shes very sweet. Pop on sometime and introduce yourself. You 2 would get along great!!

Talk to you soon. Rest up

    Cindy

Re: Chiari Can Definitely Keep Us Down

    Hello Cindy!

Well it's friday...I usually like fridays,But I woke up with head congestion and had to push myself to go do our errands today....UGH

We're keeping the doggies probably 'til sunday....the kids didn't ask us to watch them..we just missed them and it gives Shawn 'n Cindy a break from them.Isabella will miss them(she likes to sneak food to them...hahaha).My hubs takes them out when he gets home from work in the morning and before he leaves for work in the evening...he leaves around 9p.m. and gets home at 7:30a.m.I let them out on our patio..we live in a bottom floor apt.and have a big area of grass with huge trees and a large pond...so the doggies love it here...I just let them out our patio sliding doors and take them right outside so it's easy on me...I like to walk them, but I can't when it's this cold.....I don't function well in cold temperatures

Oh that throat thing is so annoying And Scary!Dr. says it's from low B12...he's wrong!!!!I know it,because my level is better now.I noticed that it only happens when I'm in a sitting position too...so weird! My throat seems to have these little spasms sometimes too...like if I talk too much...maybe it's to do with all over muscle weakness for me.....who knows.

Yesterday was so tiring for me and you too....I went to bed late, but I rested well so on to another day it is!

Cindy I feel so bad, because there's people begging to get MRIs and other tests and here I am complaining about having to go get my MRI,EEG and EMG tests done....I'm just tired and tired of being weak, muscles twitching,etc.,etc.,etc.just want to have some more good days!

I'm finding some adorable things online for christmas gifts....I figure if I start now then I'll have a bunch of things and not have to fret at the last minute for this and that...I hate that!Last year Bob & me went and did the after thanksgiving day thing....good deals,But the crowds were something else....forget that! Most of the items we wanted were gone, because the early birds got 'em...I can't picture myself getting up at the crack of dawn...years ago yes,but now....I don't think so!I make the list of all the people first..then put ideas for gifts next to them and then what we actually get them....I love the spirit of giving, but I'm just so picky about what I give...I like to put a lot of thought into it....and that takes a lot of energy and time.....can you tell I need my b12 shot?

Hey Cindy if you're going to take some extra B12 that's a great idea, but really the sub~lingual methylcobalamin is fantastic...it goes right to your nervous system...saturates the nerves...your spine will love it.My dr. uses cyanocabalamin injections....not as good as methylcobalamin.I have to have the shots right now,but later I'm going to change to the sub~lingual...I asked my dr. yesterday and he said I could do that later.....I miss my old blood dr.....wish she hadn't retired.

I'm in need of some rest today...and I bet you are too!Let's both have a lovely day of rest!Talk soon

    Scout~

Re: Chiari Can Definitely Keep Us Down

    Hi Scout~

Its funny, but so many people with chiari have sinus issues. On my MRI it noted that my sinus cavities are blocked and many others have said the same on their MRI. I had sinus surgery in my early 20's. I had a headache that wouldn't go away (hmmm... little did I know) so I had a CT scan and the Dr recommended surgery. wouldn't recommend that one. It was horrible

So my headaches and sinus issues followed me throughout my life. Of course my headaches were still there but took tylenol daily and really never spoke of them to my Dr's. I didn't want them telling me I needed another cleanout!! Even when I started with the neurological stuff, I never mentioned the headaches. They just didn't seem relivent because I guess I was so used to them. But then I had the lumber punture and the headaches changed to head pressure and lifechanging pain.

Now, when my head feels really bad, I can press on my skull and feel it seeping into my sinuses. I had read (but its not a fact) that when the CFS flow is blocked from Chiari and has nowhere to go, it leaks out the sinuses. I just found this so interesting because this has been an issue all my life. They even did allergy testing and i'm allergic to everything!! So it made sense back then. Now I think thers more to it. Just MHO

Having the dogs there with you keep you company, I'm sure. Its nice to be talking to something all day besides ourselves

Being up so late really takes its toll. I have oxycodones that I only use if I'm desperate, which is once or twice a week. I am so afraid to become dependant on them. They don't cure the pain but it takes the edge off when nothing else helps. When I take them, I wont go to sleep. With chiari and narcotics, it can affect our respitory function and this is the leading cause of death with chiari. Generally chiari isn't fatal but add pain meds, sleep apnea (which I have) and it could be harmful. So I stay up very late when I take one. Sometimes, I make my hubby promise to watch me while I'm sleeping. Then I'll nod off. I'm such a chicken!! But it is scary.

Don't feel bad that so many are begging for testing to be done and your complaining. It takes us alot of energy just to get through a day. Then throw in an errand or two and our energy is spent. I completely understand. I'm supposed to go back to my GP so we can play with some differant things to help the pain. He wants to try one thing at a time. I was supposed to go back two weeks ago. But I'm too tired and in too much pain. How ironic? But I do know what your feeling

Online shopping is so much better!! I usually do that too but I haven't even begun mine. I bought a few things yesterday at the store but I just can't get into it. That after Thanksgiving thing sale. Yuck!! Its a zoo. I've gone at the opening of the stores and people will literally run you over to get those bargains. And I just can't out run them these days I'd rather pay a few dollers more and not deal with that.

I'm like you. It has to be a special gift for each person. And it does take alot of time and energy to do that. Gifts from the heart are so much more meaningful.

I'm glad your here to recommend the best B12 to use. I'm gonna pick some up. It can't hurt to take it and maybe it will booste the energy, who knows?

Rest up scout. We certainly deserve it

    Talk to you soon

    Cindy

Re: Chiari Can Definitely Keep Us Down

    Hello on saturday Cindy!

I love your posts...you're great!I wonder how many people are following our posts(we're so interesting, aren't we though?haha).

I had a quick look at the ms boards and our friends weren't there...I hope they are doing well.I just posted to someone on the anemia board who has the low borderline B12 like me...of course now she has to convince her dr. to run the other tsts that go along with it...what a shame we have to educate the drs.....and we aren't the ones who charge the fee....hahaha....we could be rich for all the work those drs. have us doing...so funny, but so aggravating.

Yes having sinus issues is torture!!!!!!!!I know I'll Never have a lumbar puncture and I almost got one...Scary!!!!Thanks to you I know better about that now.So sorry you had to have the LP and now have to suffer from that

What you said about the CFS flow being blocked and leaking into the sinus'...That Makes A Lot Of Sense....I was thinking the same thing!I remember the neuro told me that when you have a migraine it affects the sinus' and they don't drain.I have a very narrow whatever they call it in my nose so this sinus dr. said that just makes it worse when you have a sinus problem.Oh and she said I had sinusitus(my kids laughed at that word...not nice!haha!).My mom says that we have sinus cavities in our upper back too...do we?I noticed that after I've had a sinus flare up that when it's over I have the after cough and then it seems like the pain in my shoulder goes away...I know I'm weird, but it happens everytime.

I know what you're saying about the pain meds...when I first got sick(1996) I was a real mess..this dr. gave me ativan...and it was a low dose..it would knock me out for 6 hours...dr.said that wasn't good...now I see what was going on with that...and then they put me on klonopin for a few months and I couldn't breathe...I was Dx with bronchial asthma(funny..klonopin is a respiratory relaxant...ativan too...hmmmmmmmm).

I never had allergy testing, but I am allergic to tons of things...foods,meds,soooo annoying!haha!

Hey Cindy really I hope you get the sub~lingual B12...the pills are good for nothing. You had spine surgery and I bet your CNS would benfit greatly from a boost of B12....I don't get a lot of energy from the B12 shots, but I'm in menopause so that's a double zap for me...chiari and menopause...help!

I know it was meant to be that we met here...it just feels like I've known you forever!

B12 took all my asthma symptoms away and I was also having slep apnea(I almost forgot about that one!)..I would wake up during the night and be have numb hands/feet and scream...so funny...my hubs thought I was real strange...hahaha and my kids just got used to it back then....kind of funny, but I didn't know what was causing it.

Your B12 level is okay, but it's so close to the 400 mark that you could really use more...mine was 420 last time and I'm feeling better, but I remember once when it was 502 I felt better, but of course it didn't stay at that level.

I can't wait to see how my other tests come out.I get my shot thursday so I'll go get the blood work done on monday or tuesday...I don't mind getting labs, but I do mind the way I get tired and weak afterwards.Well I'll just eat real good afterwards...maybe that will help.

Oh I did ask my dr. about a Lyme test...he said he wouldn't even know how to read it!!!!He asked me ifI was ever bit by a tick or noticed a bad rash....not that I'm aware of!He did say that I should just ask my neuro to do the test if he feels it's a possibility.Well at least I tried!

Well I already made mostaccioli for today and now I have to cook another dish, because my hubs does not eat mostaccioli, spaghetti.none of that.Ugh...more work..I'm drained already!

    Have a happy disney-like day!

    Scout

Re: Chiari Can Definitely Keep Us Down

    Hi Scout~

I enjoy our posts too. We all end up where we are for a reason. And just think.. If I didn't get chiari, I would have never met you, my friend

I'm sure people read our silly threads but ya know, I think that these silly posts keep our sanity. At home, who wants to hear that today we feel lousy. Or that going to the grocery store wiped us out and we need a nap. Only here, we can get the understanding we need. Thankfully for these boards!!

It is so aggravating that Dr's don't do all they can to help those who suffer. If we can self educate ourselves, they should to. They go to scool to get their liscence, take on patients, and get too busy to really care. If it means work for them, they don't do it. Thats not all Dr's I must say. There are a few good out there. But they REALLY need to get in tune with so many things

Did you post on the MS board or just peak? I generally pop in and catch up once a week or so but this board has picked up so much that I haven't been there in a while. They're a great bunch over there. I always wished I had MS instead of chiari. For one, the support they give one another is great and 2, even though MS is cronic, I feel like I got a worse deal with the chiari. I'm sure they don't feel that way but I do. I would be perfectly fine if I was in a wheel chair for the rest of my life, not to have the daily pain that holds me back from living a normal life. I know, thats weird but thats just how I feel

The sinuses flow around our eyes, down the sides of our nose and drain into our throats. I was a hairdresser for 25 years. We had this technique we used to clear the sinuses when we did facials, massaging and pressing all they areas then pushing it down to the throat erea. You could feel the need to swallow after. I do this all the time when I get pressure. I never knew the sinusus went into the back though. Interesting...

How does the sub~linguil B12 come Scout? Not in pill form? I was assuming they were pills. When I get a chance, I'm going over to the health store.

Sleep apnea is another symptom of Chiari. Be very carefull of what they prescribe. I take ativan when I have to go for an MRI. I hate closed in spaces. But I only take 1/2 of a .5 mg. I am such a weirdo with meds. But so many end up in trouble from them. After my surgery, they had me so doped up, I couln't stay awake. For 3 days I slept. I finally insisted they cut me back on the pain meds so I could be functional. Once they did, I got myself out of bed, dressed and they released me. They sent me home with a script of oxycodone with 270 pills. No way!! I've maybe taken 15 total since June. Too many get dependant and need hospitalization to come off of them. I definately don't need more problems.

I'm really surprised they never did a Lyme. Thats usually one of the 1st things they do. But just a bit of knowledge, not everyone gets a rash. And then the lyme tests are very innacurate showing false negatives in many.

Buisy week for you coming up. Lots of Dr's. Try to rest up tomorrow. I'm headed to bed myself. I've been up all day and I'm ready to crash.

    Have a great night

    Cindy

Re: Chiari Can Definitely Keep Us Down

hi there Cindy...I've been posting to help wanted on the anemia board...poor girl she has low B12(272)....Lyme was mentioned too,but I think she should first get her B12 up and then see how her symptoms are...have to start somewhere.

The B12 comes in a little bottle with a dropper bult into it...you put it under your tongue.RainbowsEnd said it's better to put it under your top lip and hold it there for a while(I think she said 40 minutes...I'll go back and check on that info on the anemia board for you).I know the people that work at GNC and such places have a lot of knowledge about vitamins...so you could ask them for their input. The B12 tablets aren't that good...the sub~lingual goes right to the nerves(I love the way that sounds!!!).I'd rather be taking that than getting shots. The shot taks a few days to get through your system, but it's necessary when you've had a longstanding low B12 level.Actually my sister started taking the B12 and she said she felt so much better...my mom used to get the shots when she was in menopause, because her dr. said women going through peri meno and meno need more B12 and her dr. was just a GP....go figure....nice doc,but she was upset when he retired...all the good ones seem to be retiring!!!!

Well I am worried about little Copper...he got very sick on wednesday evening(he ate some leaves and grass outside...he does this every now and then)..I pulled him away but I know he still ate some.Well thusday he was vomitting(5 tines)then that stopped, but he just laid there all day and didn't eat a bite all day and the next day the same thing...just drinking water. So Cindy came and got him and Brooklyn last night.I called them today and Shawn said Copper had a lot of diarrhea when he walked him today,so they bathed him and he's still just laying there.I feel so awfulhe's been sick before, but not this long and this bad...I'm so afraid he's going to die).If he's not better tomorrow he has to go to the vet....oh I pray he gets better,we all love that little dog so much

Yes I just glanced at the MS board...I didn't see MSNik or Bearygood there...I had been following Wallis'posts to see how she was doing, but I didn't read any other ones.

The other week I did read that MSNik was getting a new job I think.

Well it looks like rain is coming this way...Again...yuck oh yuck!

Well I must say it's been a long week...I hope this week will be okay...I'm just so worried about Copper...when I think about him I just start crying.I just want to hear that he's getting better

    Scout~

Hope your day has been good..I posted to Bill...I hope he's having a good day~

Re: Chiari Can Definitely Keep Us Down

    Hi Scout~

I'm so happy to hear coopers ok Its so scary when that happens. My cat, who is like a 2 year old, ate something last year. He got so sick and ended in the hospital for 3 days. $750 later, we never found out what made him sick. We really thought he wasn't going to make it. So don't feel bad that he got sick while he was with you. Those little devils have to learn to behave. Maybe he wont eat what he ate again. But I'm really glad he got better on his own. He must have had a belly ache or an upset stomach.

Today was not a good day for me. I woke up with a big kink in my neck. Didn't think much of it but my whole left side has been numb with pins and needles. Thats not unusual for me though so I just ignored the neck pain. But my hearts been racing like crazy and I can hear it beating in my head. Its so scary because we just assume sometimes the chiari is bringing on these weird things. But then I start worrying that my heart could be acting up. I couldn't get my blood pressure machine to work, which made me more frustrated. It was causing me pain in the left side of the face. I was miserable. I had to drive Rheacel to work and she said "mom, why don't you just take a pain pill" I just feel like lately, I've had to take them too often and you know how I feel about that.

I'm going to call my GP tomorrow and get in there. AND I'm calling TCI tomorrow too. Its time to move ahead Scout. My 2 wonderful aunts sent me $260 yesterday, to help out. Then I sold one of my sons Dragon ball DVD's for $120 and my great friend contributed with a sale too so with all this, I'm taking my $400, setting it aside and making that appointment. I am so very greatful for all the help everyone has offered and with that, its time to head back to NY. It will take a bit more but I know it will be a bit before they can get me in so I have time to build up some more funds. This just gave me the push I needed

When I'm feeling up to it, I'm going to get myself that B12 and give it a shot. Thanks so much for letting me know the best kind to use.

I'm gonna keep it short tonight because I really need to kick back and let my neck rest. I'm just so glad your here Scout. That I have someone to share with. Thank you for everything

    Cindy

Re: Chiari Can Definitely Keep Us Down

    hello Cindy

Oh my gosh...I am so feeling wiped out from I don't know what...I almost feel like I'm getting the flu!It better not be from Copper.....haha.He is doing better, but I hope the vet calls them soon.

I had to cancel my B12 shot for tomorrow, because I have to go get my blood labs first..so I hope I feel okay tomorrow......it's not a problem with my shot I can get it on monday.

Oh Cindy did you know that Paula Abdul had a neck fusion...she did because she needed to and was in a great amount of pain and it helped her so much...so you'll hopefully get the same results.....I'm hoping you won't have anymore pain after that surgery...it would be great if you don't have to have the decompression surgery.

I'm so tired...but bored...so I'm doin' a bit of laundry and of course keeping Copper hydrated...I took loads of the cutest pictures of Copper & Brooklyn(I was thinking to myself that I hope these won't be the last ones of Copper....I tend to worry too much...so now I'm trying to keep a positive outlook on Copper getting better).

I looked at the TCI site a couple days ago...wow they are fantastic there...I can see why you trust them with your health concerns.

Well I just wanted to send you a note...we haven't communicated that much on the boards lately...haha

Did you ever get over to see Devin's place yet?Let me know what you think of it...it's always kind of interesting to see how your kids live when they're on their own.

I'm hoping Brandon will come over tomorrow and help me with my camera(my kids boght me a Kodak easy share digital camera for my birthday this year...wow I never expected a nice gift like that....they must think I'm not going to be around that long....hahaha

Have a good evening my friend~Scout
