I have been experiencing light-moderate bleeding on and off for the last week. By my last menstrual period, I should be 7w3d pregnant. Today I couldn't bear to wait until my first scheduled ultrasound, so my doctor agreed to see me. During the pelvic exam, she said that my cervix was closed, which was a good sign. She then did a vaginal ultrasound and found what she thought was the
gestational sac but could not see anything in it. I had bloodwork done to test my hcg levels and am going back tomorrow to see if they have doubled. She said I have a 50% chance of having a viable pregnancy, but I doubt my chances are that good. Has anyone had a similar experience, if so, what was your outcome? I am also confused at how much bleeding I can be having with a closed cervix??
