Has anyone been helped by the nerve support formulas advertised on the web?

I have had peripheral neuropathy for 6 months, and have been on neurontin for about three months with very limited success. I sent off for a "nerve support formula" with a different type of b-vitamins and some other stuff. After one month I have not seen any relief.

The folks who sell the stuff tell me to be patient and buy more of the formula. Has this type of product been helpful to anyone with peripheral neuropathy, or should I just pursue my "money-back guarantee" before too much time goes by?

I would be very happy to hear from anyone who has tried such a remedy.

I've seen the ads, and been tempted to try it myself. The endless pain calls for desperate measures. I just can't afford to try all the offers I see that claim to help. I have not heard from anyone on here that has tried it at all - with good or bad results.... Please do post if you get positive or negative results.

This past Saturday I went to a day-long seminar hosted by Taking Charge of Your Diabetes. I am not diabetic, but they had several sessions on neuropathy. I got to talk to dozens of people with neuropathy and one doctor who deals specifically with handling the symptoms and pain of neuropathy. Unfortunately I could not find anyone who endorsed the nerve supplements found on the web. The pain specialist told me that if my vitamin B-12 levels were normal or better, I would not receive any benefit from the nerve support formulas that load up your system with extra vitamin B.

I have seen no symptom relief from the stuff, and I am about to send for my "no questions asked" refund. We'll see how that goes.

What the specialists are now using does sound promising, that is, using low doses of two or even three medicines to relieve the symptoms without the harsh side-effects. I am going to talk to my doctor about that approach.

You mentioned being on Neurontin for a while. That was my first nerve medicine. I told my doctor it like chewing on Tic-Tacs for all the good it did me. I was on many of them, almost seven. Then my doctor found Lyrica. For me, it was like a miracle or something. I had close to four solid hours pain free. It was the best nerve medicine that I had used. It was solid for years and then I started developing resistance to it. My doctor needed to suppliment with other things. Others told me about taking B vitamins and it helped. I have more control over the pain. I hope this helped.

I have a couple of days ago ordered WSN Nerve Support Formula for my Chemo induced neuropathy which is quite bad and getting worse.Will report it as I progress for anyone interested.

Have also ordered...even though I'm a total cynic!! [Neuro after radiotherapy] Will check in this time Oct to compare notes.
