Can I use Flutcasone I was dianosed with acid reflux

I have acid reflux. can I use fluticasone nasal spray. I have for years clogged ears, post nasal drip. I honestly think this caused my acid reflux after all this time by swallowing this mucus. I finally went to an ET.
I had an endoscopy and was put on protonix since May 20th. I stopped taking the 40mg 1 daily today. I feel much better now. I'm back to taking multi vitamins, caltrate and the B's. I did notice with the Fluticasone, my head is clearer, but still have the ringing. Please advise me if this is safe to take
    Thank you, Arlene

I did when my reflux was bad. I was never told not to take the fluticasone nasal spray.

Fluticasone should not be a problem. I have acid reflux and have taken Fluticasone during allergy season for the past several years.

Some allergy pills can worsen reflux, though.

    Jane,
I hope I'm doing this reply to you correctly, I'm new to this board.
I really appreciate your quick response. I stopped Protonix 7/14/12 and I'm feeling better than I've have. The fluticasone is helping, I can feel the difference. I have no appetite and forcing my self to eat. This can be my nerves. I am on Losartan 25 mg 1-daily for hypertension.
Get this I was on Linsinopril 5mg and insisted to the Dr. that this could be the culprit of my acid reflux, never dreaming that my head clogging, stuffy ears and years of swallowing psot nasal drip mucus MIGHT have been the real culprit. He didn't think Linsinopril was the culprit but switched me to Losartan.
My leg cramps are 98% gone, no nausea & taking vitamin supplements.
I see the ET 7/31, I'm taking a list of everything I'm taking. One last thing,
every thing that has happened to me is my fault, I 65 yrs old going on 40 and never had problems like this, no seasonable illness, nothing, just carpal tunnel and arthoscopic on my knee. I forgot I was the queen for years of "junk" food eating, you name it I ate it. Those days are now gone! I'm still loosing weight and this is rather concerning.
Thanks for your quick reply, and sorry for going on and on. I'm still shocked my these events.

Arlenepat, you sound so much like me. I am 62 and felt 52 until about 4 months ago. I, too, had constant post-nasal drip and ignored it. I went through 3 bouts of antibiotics last year because of sinuses, and the in April started having acid reflux. Now, I'm having a heckuva time stopping the reflux, but the worst thing is that I can't find a good ENT to address my allergy issues. Know anyone in Florida?

It is confusing. Sometimes sinus problems cause GERD symptoms, and sometimes GERD causes sinus problems, and it's tough to figure out where the problem came from.

Definitely, diet changes can help. GERD can get better, just hang in there.
