    Western blot test

    Hello,
I have the symptoms of lyme except for the characteristic bull's eye rash - chronic pain, numbness/tingling, fatigue, bad memory.

The ELISA test came back negative, I am thinking of getting the Western blot test done. Can the Western blot come back with a false negative?

    Re: Western blot test

Many people who have lyme do not test positive on tests. Per CDC guidelines I did not have lyme with only band 23. My LLMD thought otherwise and made diagnosis with that band which is specific to the disease along with the nearly every symptom on the lyme list. Don't give up. Although only a LLMD really understands the disease.
