    Question Stress and rash?

Hi everyone, I am wondering if stress can cause a rash and breathing problems. Well, I think that stress can do this so maybe I am just looking for someone to give me an idea how to deal with this and see if it is stress causing my rash or something else. I thought that maybe it was winter skin. But then my sister thought it is the Fifth disease. I really don't know at this point it is just driving me crazy.
I get a rash that comes and goes. Yes I am under some stress but for the most part I am happy and really can understand why this rash could be stress and me be happy for the most part. ok so I know that I am around here a little bit.
I also have trouble breathing when the rash is at it's worst. I take a shower and break out all over and the breathing is like I can not get enough air but I am. That only lasts for a min or too. This is crazy. but I am desperate. My husband has a broken neck and has had 5 operations this year. so yes I know that I am under some stress. and I can not afford to go to a doctor at this point because there just isn't any money left over after bills. So any idea's would be appriecated. Thank you Vicki

    Hi vicki
My sister gets little raised patches on her face and neck when she is going through a tough time.I am not sure about her breathing though, she never mentioned that.I do know that there is alot of info on the net.You should investigate what the library has as well before you get it in your head that you have a disease..That will only add to your stress..Knowledge is power!!!I have been where you are .I had no health ins though..so i went to the library and found my answers..Best of luck to you and your hubby..

    Re: Stress and rash?

I do know someone who went to his dr. because of a skin rash, and his dr. said it was nerves and gave him a mild benzo. This story is funny because then all of my friend's co-workers who are total NA 12-steppers told him to throw the pills away (because he is an alcoholic.) Suddenly they were all his self-appointed doctors! Point is, yes, it is often nerves/stress that cause a rash, but it could be other things too.

thank you all so much. It helps to know that people really care enough to help. I am going to go to the doctor sometime next week as today I really had trouble breathing. And the rash is not any worse but no better. Thank you Vicki
