Which SSRI goes with Strattera for Social Anxiety?

Hi,

I'm a 24 y.o. male who is currently taking 50mg (2 x 25mg) of Strattera each day. I tried to get up to 75mg but it felt way too weird. In the past I took Paxil (30mg/day) but that was alone. The side effects were extremely strong with paxil and the weight gain was horrible.

I'm looking to add on an SSRI to the Strattera for social anxiety and anxiety in general. My doctor and I are debating if I will be going off strattera and just going to plain old ritalin...but we'll see in due time.

So far, the strattera has been excellent. Some problems in the beginning have subsided but now the main problem is lack of interest (anhedonia) and general fatigue at times.

I originally was having problems sleeping and this is why I sought help from a doctor. After going to a sleep clinic and then finally to a psychiatrist, they diagnosed me with ADD. The strattera has helped a lot with the general anxiety but recently it has started to creep back and the social anxiety is still present.

So I guess what other medicines are people taking with Strattera for anxiety? Zoloft? Paxil? Luvox?

Probably Effexor. Strattera can interfere with the metabolism of some SSRIs.
