Being sent for a TEE test. Transesophageal Echocardiogram

Hi All; I'm sure many have heard of a Transesophageal Echocardiogram test.
The only search I found on this test was a closed thread from 2004. I'm curious if others that have had this test can tell Me how it went for them. Were You sedated, was it at all painful, how long did the test take etc. More importantly did anyone have any adverse complications after the test. Any information would be appreciated.

I had it.. the test takes 20 minutes. I was sedated, but not under general anesthesia- twilight sedation...I remember nothing and went home an hour later. I had zero side effects.

The test gave me the answers I needed... get the test, its a piece of cake.
