Chronic sinusitis and recurrent low-grade fever?

I have been diagnosed with deviated septum and chronic sinusitis with 1cm thick mucus layer, and I have been experiencing for more than a month low-grade fever (37.2) accompanied with headache ,chills, joint and muscle pain.

Is that typical with chronic sinusitis? my ENT doctor said fever only happens with acute sinusitis .

    Thanks

Re: Chronic sinusitis and recurrent low-grade fever?

I have had some symptoms over the past 5 years like yours. My stuff slowly has gotten better by trying a little of this and that, but I have noticed that I would get a mild spike in temperatures with a sinus infection. My normal temp is 98.3F but would bump up to about 98.8 when I would get a sinus infection. I would also get yellow crud in my nose and fatigue like having the flu.

Doctor's discount it, but I think a lot of people get joint and leg pain from allergies. I guess there is a thin line between allergies and an autoimmune disease. Taking tylenol helps me with the leg pain you mentioned. I also got improvement from allergy shots and doing a budesonide rinse that reduced nasal swelling.
