    neurologist/sinus infection?

Can a neurologist treat a sinus infection? I know they can treat migraines but what about a sinus headache?

No, you would need to see an ENT specialist. The headache is only a symptom of the sinus problem, not a neurological issue. Sera

If you are positive its a sinus infection, any walk in clinic can treat you. A sinus infection usually requires antibiotics....but first you want to be sure it isnt allergies; this time of year allot of people suffer from allergies to things like Ragweed . You'll need blood work or a swab test to be sure its an infection and someone to look up your nose and be sure that it is in your sinus's...not a neurologist but an ENT or primary doctor.

    Re: neurologist/sinus infection?

I had gone to see a neurologist because I was experiencing a severe dizzy spell. He ordered an a MRI and besides detecting a small meningioma my MRI said the right forehead sinus was opacification. Which I think it means an infection. He told me he doesn't treat sinus problems. I checked online saw several neurologists websites and they do treat sinus infections. Maybe some neurologists do some don't. Well anyways I'll be seeing my family doctor and I'm sure she will treat me if not I'll go to the walk in clinic.
