    Chronic Sinus Problems

For the past year I keep on having clogged sinuses. I have had 2 sinus infections. After that my sinuses are clogged again. I keep taking Mucinex and decongestants. My sinuses still keep on getting clogged. What could be the problem?

Allergies, non allergic rhinitis, infection doesn't get totally knocked out. Do you use a sinus rinse or saline spray? Stop the decongestants as they cause a rebound effect.Use a saline spray to wean off them.

Ask your doc to do a nasal swab and a sinus x-ray.

The washes are awesome...I use NeilMed squeeze bottle wash.
Neti pot is another good option. Do you use distilled or filtered water...or just from tap?
Decongestant such as sudafed rather than spray because of rebound. Don't use more than recommended. I've never gotten rebound from Sudafed.

Have you been on antibiotics? If not, might be time to do so.
And, if you haven't had allergy testing, maybe consider it.

Keep us updated how you're doing.
