    sinus infection/cold causes stiff neck??

is that possible..today i've noticed my neck is stiff, cramps up easily, doesn't wanna move..feels swollen..its like the swelling is coming from my sinuses/ears/throat into my neck..and then theres the intense dizziness..called my doctor but he hasn't called back..should i be scared?? i've heard it's a danger sign if you've got a stiff neck..

I'm not real sure about the neck, I always sleep wrong and get a stiff neck as it is, but sometimes it does hurt more when i have sinus infections. I wouldn't worry to much about it until you have talked to your doctor. I see mine tomorrow morning for all the same stuff you have and will ask about the neck being stiff. Hope you feel better!

    "sinus infection/cold causes stiff neck??"

Yes, I've noticed for years that whenever I'm having severe sinus/allergy/cold problems, my neck will feel stiff, tender, and very painful. Often the pain will extend down into my shoulders. It's really awful. Whenever I've mentioned this to doctors, they always say it's just tension, but I know that's not it because it happens along with sinus pain and has a definite pattern to it. Right now I seem to have a sinus infection, and my neck and shoulders are killing me, along with pain in my face and ears.
