    nose sprays for sinuses

    i have been using 2 nose sprays
    1- astelin in the evening and the morning
    2-nasonex in the evening
    for the last 4 weeks
    this morning i blew my nose and some bloody red discharrge came out is this normal, or sign of infection didn't see red discharge in a while
    also latley when i use the astelinn i feel a stinging pain in my nose is that normal etc...

    The blood is normal. I get it too sometimes. The stinging is probably a good thing. It is probably finally reaching some very irritated tissue up there.

    Does your doctor know you are using both nasal sprays? I think maybe it may be to much since your nose is bleeding. Talk to your doc about it.

    it happens to be that i'm starting to fell a little less pressure in the news
    i'm hoping that i'm statring to get a handle on this

    The last time I had bloody snot, it was an infection...but then again, I had some other symptoms - pain, thick-ish green/yellow snot, and the like. Good luck!

    It does take awhile for the sprays to take effect. I'm on both astelin and flonase and it is a good combo for me. Like I said in another thread irrigating beforehand, or even just using a saline nosespray and blowing your nose, will help the spray reach where it needs to go.
