    Sinus Pain and Pressure

Does anyone know of a more natural way to treat sinus pain and pressure. I have tried all the over the counter remedies and I often think they make things worse. And, I am on my second round of antibiotics, but with little relief. I get pain and aching in my cheek bones and it makes my teeth hurt. I have both issues - teeth and sinus - so it is often difficult to decipher which is which. However, the dentist did not see any problems and all the teeth that hurt have root canals. I have used the Netti Pot and saline nose spray, but the congestion seems high up and I am not sure those two things are reaching the right areas. Sometimes I feel some drainage and other times it feels totally compacted and unable to drain.

Any thought would be most appreciated and thank you so much.

The best thing I have used for sinus problems is a Grosan Hydro Pulser that is used to irrigate the sinus cavities! Simular to a Netti pot but alot more effective.

I have found colloidal silver to be effective. It is a natural antibiotic. I use a dropper and put it back into my nose.

If you do any aromatherapy, put some eucalyptus and lemon oils into a diffuser. The eucalyptus almost always helps clear up my nasal passages. Even better would be to run the diffuser in the bathroom while you're taking a long hot shower..the combination of the eucalyptus and steam is really helpful.

I suffered for over ten years with sinus infections, became acute then developed bronchitis and finally it all became chronic. Suffered permanent loss of hearing because of ears being plugged with it all. Finally went to an herbalist and got cured. I haven't had a sinus infection, bronchitis, a simple cold or even a sore throat in over 15 years. I use three herbal teas. The best is yarrow, next is linden flower tea, and elderflower tea. Yarrow seems to act like an antihistimine. As soon as I feel like my sinuses are filling up, I drink yarrow tea and everything goes away like magic. Usually I can tell within an hour if I've taken the right one. If yarrow doesn't do it, I drink either of the other two, but these have never failed me. Of course, everybody is different, but it's cheaper than drugs. My problems were related to allergies. I finally got insurance that let me see a specialist without referral and was allergic to 40 per cent of what I was tested for. I had gotten the flu and sinus and bronchial problems flared up. He put me on drugs that made my blood pressure shoot up so I quit them and went to my simple herbs. He said he was sure I had asthma at that point and was amazed I could control everything with herbs (and smoke too) but the reason I developed all this was because of mis-diagnoses by original dr. If you have sinus infection anti-biotics won't cure, consider allergies. Another good thing is garlic. Take 4 or 5 capsules before you go to bed and your breath won't smell, and it helped my infections a lot. I developed allergies to some of the more potent anti-biotics.
    Good luck.
