Excruciating toothache with sinus infection?

I have a sinus infection for which I just got on a Z-pack yesterday. My upper right molars are KILLING me just about 24-7!!! I called my dentist and they said it is sinus related for sure. Can anyone give me some ideas on how to get some relief at home? I can't eat, can't sleep, can't work. HELP!

Re: Excruciating toothache with sinus infection?

For short term relief until the Z-pak starts to work your best bets are:
1. Take a decongestant like 12-hour sudafed to relieve some of the pressure.
2. Buy a SinusRinse starter kit and follow the instructions for sinus irrigation to flush some of the infected mucus from your sinuses.
3. Take Ibuprofen or Tyelenol for the pain
It will take a few days for the Z-pak to start working but these things should give you some relief.
