Ears plugged up, dizzy after sinus surgery?

Funny, the worst part of my sinus surgery recovery has been that my throat hurts, my ears are plugged up and I'm very dizzy. I had sinus surgery and septoplasty. Does this go away after the first appointment when they clean you out? I'm assuming the ear pressure is from swelling. I've always been a little dizzy and had plugged up ears, but this is a lot worse.
