Unhappy Sudden "Lumpy" Rash on Shoulder Blade

    Hi,

A "lumpy" rash appeared on my should blade rather suddenly. It isn't very itchy, but when it does start to itch, it feels extremly itchy. I have taken a few pics with my phone (apologies for the quality). Does anyone happen to know what this could be?

    Thank you.

Unhappy Re: Sudden "Lumpy" Rash on Shoulder Blade

    Hi,

My skin is now feeling numb to touch, and the numbness extends to under my armpit. Also, the rash has spread a bit towards my spine.

I appreciate any information you may have.

    Thank you.

    Hi....pics aren't coming up.

I suggest you see a doctor since it's spreading. My initial thought would be fungal, bacterial or allergy since it's spreading and very itchy. But numbness could put it in the shingles category.

See the doc and keep us posted on the putcome.

    Hi,

I am sorry that the pics are not appearing. Maybe that snippet hosting service is a temporary storage area?

I did go to the docs, however. Turns out to be shingles. I can feel it getting more painful by the hour. 😟

Thank you for the advice you provided.

Hi.....good you went to the doctor. Sad to hear it's shingles. Are you on any meds?
I suggest you get on L-lysine 500mg. Take 1000mg twice daily. It's a supplement used for any herpes strain outbreaks.

    Wishing you a speedy recovery.
