Itchy, Inflammed Lump on Neck Below Jaw Line that Appears Like Bug Bite.

I typically have itchy skin/rashes/hives seasonally, and wintertime seems worse at times due to dryness, though insects are much less evident. I also get itchy face/neck skin from not shaving regularly/short beard growth abrasion.

The other day I woke up with what looks like a severe bug bite just below my jaw line with considerable redness, swelling and itching that I initially thought may be due to not shaving that day (I scratched it during sleep so it bled and got more inflammed/open skin). It looks like a large infected/allergic inflammation lump from an insect sting or chigger/spider bite, but I'm familiar with these varieties of bug bite/stings types living in the woods for many years, and it seems unlikely this time, esp. this time of year.

I applied some Campho-Phenique on Day-1 which seemed to help at first after cleaning with Witch Hazel and applying a hot compress to reduce swelling. After awaking on Day-2 it's back to the original swelled-up lump.
