    dyshidrosis or dyshidrotic eczema

I have been bothered by this on the palms of my hands and sides of my fingers. I believe it started because I didn't use enough hand crème and my hands dried out. I determined that's what I have from the symptoms and searching on-line. Recently I tried cortisone-10 to see if that would help. It might help a little. Is this something I need to see a dermatologist about or is it just a bother that will eventually go away? Any ideas ?

Hi Rose, I have been having a similar issue and went and saw my Dermatologist...she then sent me to an allergist. I discovered it was an allergy in something I was using on my face- and was applying with my fingers. Try a derm, but you may also need an allergist to determine what is causing it.

    Re: dyshidrosis or dyshidrotic eczema

I have read that it could be an allergy to nickel.....
I am allergic to eggs and have been handling eggs lately, making hard boiled eggs and peeling them for my dog. I was wondering if that had anything to do with it.....
thanks for your response! So you didn't have a reaction on your face where you were putting the product, but on your hands......that's strange!
