    lip skin lifted

My lips crack almost every day. This problem has occurred for the last 5 years. About twice a week the skin of the lips is lifted.

Have you been checked out by a dermatologist...and have you had a swab test or biopsy done?

It could be anything from food or product allergies, bacterial, fungal to autoimmune...firstly I would consider what you use on your lips and what toothpaste. If you lick your lips often, it would be helpful to not do so.

I've found that Eucerin lip therapy is a good product.

    Hope you find answers.

Your logo doesn't say if you are male or female...but...lipstick can cause this. I can't wear any that has red dye in it...so I have to search the ingredients in all lipsticks for it.

Thanks for your reply! I am really sorry for not to reply you in prompt.

Yes, once I went to a dermatologist and he suggest me to do a 4mm punch biopsy in my lower lip but I haven't done it yet. Are you advising me to do this now?
I am using vaseline for the last two years and used several toothpaste like colgate, pepsodent.

    NB:I don't smoke.

    Again, Thanks for your suggestion!

What was the reason your doctor was wanting to do the biopsy...is Sjogren's suspected?
Absolutely have the biopsy so that the tissue is examined, hopefully resulting with a diagnosis for proper treatment.

Do you have any other health issues and had complete blood checks for vitamins B and A?
