    Dry, itchy, lump

    Hi there

For the last couple of years or so, a raised, hard, red and itchy - sometimes sore - lump appears on my backside. Always in the same place. It doesn't really itch unless I touch it. It's quite large - about 1/2" - 1" long/wide. Anyway, after a couple of weeks or so it disappears only to reappear, in the same place, a few months later.

What's different this time is that as this one is disappearing, another new one seems to be appearing a couple of inches away. Most peculiar!

My skin is in pretty good condition although I have a couple of small patches of psoriasis, nowhere near my bottom. I'm not on any medication apart from HRT. I use a soap replacement in the shower and I'm a clean girl!

    Any ideas?

    (Great site!)

    Thank you

    Have you had it checked?
Have you tried using any topicals on it such as antibiotic, steroid or antifungal?

Hi q - thank you for your response

No, I haven't had it checked, I thought it would just sort itself out eventually. Since Covid I haven't wanted to visit my doctor - I suppose I could do a video call with my surgery but the idea of filming my bottom has very little appeal strangely...

There's nothing about it that alarms me - I just find its reoccurrence (and at the same site) rather odd.
