    Re: Keratosis Pilaris?

I have keratosis pilaris also, however I'm 29 years old. There's really not much you can do about it. It's generally considered a condition that children get and grow out of. I'm an unusual case because I got it at 26. I tell myself that I'm getting younger, not older ! I've seen several dermatologists and the outcome is usually the same. Get some sun and drink plenty of water. One dermatologist recommended Sarna lotion which I haven't used because my skins has cleared up significantly. I will warn you that it isn't cheap ($20+). Good luck! Hopefully your granddaughter will out grow it.

    I have this condition also.

There's not much she can do... Dermatologists will say that you need to always keep your skin moisturized. You also hav eto use cleansers that aren't too rough for her skin.. Like Lever 2000 or Dove is good for soaps. The results really are disappointing, which is why I have stopped doing the treatment. It was too much trouble and I saw minimal improvement.
