Rash in my!

Hey everyone, I'll keep this short and sweet..

I have a red, slightly bumpy rash in both of my armpits. Until today, it didnt really itch, but it does itch slightly now. I've been using Calamine Lotion to get rid of the itch, it's worked very well.

I changed deoderants recently (store didnt have my kind that day), and I THINK that is what caused it. BUT, I stopped using the problem deoderant 2 days ago, and the rash doesn't seem to be going away. I thought this morning when I woke up, it looked like it had cleared up some. But, I just went and checked it (9:30 a.m.), and it's back to red again. I'm thinking that may just be irritation from it rubbing on my shirt and what not. Who knows

Anyone have any info on this rash?! Any and all info is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance

Re: Rash in my!

My husband had a rash on his underarms once and it was b/c of the deoderant he was using. Once he changed to a different deoderant, the rash slowly went away. Have you tried using cortisone cream or ointment? You can it buy it over the counter.

Re: Rash in my!

It could be a form of contact dermatitis (mild eczema). I had rashes on the inside of my armpits. Once I switched to a fragrance-free lotion and moisturizer, the rashes went away. I haven't had a breakout in over six months now.

Re: Rash in my!

Thanks guys!

I figured out what it was, and its sort of a funny "bit me in the ***" story.

I ran out of dryer sheets recently. I live in a duplex with a shared basement, so the neighbors had their stuff down there. I figured, what the hell, I'll just steal a few from them and pay them back later...

....yeah, it was the dryer sheets that did it. I re-washed ALL OF MY CLOTHES and haven't had a problem since.. hehe
