    Diphenhydramine vs. Pramoxine Creams

I have some itchy (but not dry) areas and areas with very mild excema on my body. I have been using strong hydrocortisone on the bad parts but it has become less effective over the past months. So I've recently been prescribed triamcinolone. I never needed to use triam before, so I've become worried that my body has become addicted to steroid creams.

For those mild areas, I would like to stop using hydrocortisone and try alternatives, such as diphenhydramine and pramoxine OTC creams. Has anyone had experience with them and can share which one is more effective? I'll probably buy both and test them out myself. But if someone could provide some input, that would be appreciated.

    Cheers.

Oh well, I guess that was kind of a dumb question. Since people rave a lot about Gold Bond products here, I guess I'll pick up their cream (pramoxine).
