bug bite concern

my grandmom got bit by somekind of bug on the arm multiple times (has 3-4 bite marks). She said its itchy, burns and sometimes her arm aches. when she took off her shirt she found a bug she assumed was the one that bit here. the way she described it sounds like it was a mini leech. she said it was small and thin, didnt really look like a tick or spider. she doesnt live in the woods or anything, just the standard suburban area. anyone have an idea of what kind of bug it could be? whats a good medicine/cream to use (she doesnt have enough money to see a doctor).

Re: bug bite concern

I have no idea what type of bug bit her but she should try some sort of antihistimine like benedryl. They have it in a pill form, and in a cream. That should help her symptoms while her body fights off the infection. If her symptoms don't get better in a few days, or if they get worse she should see a doctor, but hopefully she will get better on her own with the antihistimine.
